We wish you a very happy and successful outdoor season. Moving forward we are hoping to expand the events and opportunities of our members to enjoy our great sport even more. If you are planning an event at your own club please send the info so that it can be advertised here and added to the Diary.
We hope that each venue can run their own open pairs competition on Sunday 17th May where finalists qualify for the Finals Day on 24th May at Jack Clark. We hope to arrange a similar singles event this year but will need to talk to clubs to arrange markers etc. We will also be running KO competitions for singles, pairs, triples and Champion of Champions competitions for STBA members to enter. These will be run on the same basis as Durham County Bowling Federation and the Finals day will be held at Jack Clark park. An outdoor double triples team competition will also be introduced with clubs having 14 days to arrange their game with opponents.
During the winter months we hope to run an indoor double triples league one afternoon 2.30 to 4.30 between 8 teams, the cost of which will be £4 for non members of South Shields IBC and £3 for members.
You will notice that the STBA web site has changed. This has resulted in a reduction of costs while increasing functionality and allowing access to the yearbook. Let us know if you wish to add a link to your own web page.
