Val McGregor – I’ve been playing 3 years and was welcomed into the club as completely new to the game.  I’ve had several players offering support to help improve my game.  I thought the game was easy and the players older, stuffy people I was very wrong on both assumptions.  With a growing number of younger players their is a lot more diversity.  I’ve improved a lot this year having confidence to play my own game.  I come for social engagement and enjoy the good hearted banter both between our club players and visitors.

Malcolm Johnston – I began playing bowls in 1988 and found it a great game for all abilities, it can be really social and friendly or highly competitive. I have represented Durham County in the National Finals at Worthing, Leamington Spa, Skegness and Newark.
