On behalf of the Association of Jarrow Community Bowling Clubs we are glad you have decided to consider joining us in playing Lawn Bowling at Jarrow West Park.  We have a range of lawn bowls that can be used free of charge until you decide to purchase your own.

Our members are friendly and supportive and will welcome you into the association giving helpful support and guidance whenever required. Our other facilities include a fully fitted kitchen, seating and changing areas and a newly installed accessible toilet. The building at the main entrance to the park has a full size snooker table, pool table, meeting room, kitchen and toilet facilities.

Our activities take place outdoor on the lawn bowling greens at Jarrow West Park and are reliant on weather conditions.  Plenty of time is allotted to practise sessions and “roll-up” as well as organised games.  We can cater for adults with children to come and practice after school and weekends, all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.  All that is required are a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers, as all other equipment can be supplied free of charge, some shoes are available to borrow.

Bowls is not an “old folks game”.  Let Jarrow Bowling Clubs change your mind set, we will introduce you into a fantastic sport which can be just for fun or highly competitive depending on what you want from it.

Bowls is open to all! If you are 10 or 90 years old it makes no difference and we are glad to have you as part of the club.
